Silly Boys

Chase giving Blake a push...he was REALLY pushing him!

Chase was doing pull ups on the table trying to get to get to Blake's calculator.

It's exhausting!

So here are some fun pics of the boys.

Kindergarten Graduation

Here a bunch of pics from Blake's Kindergarten Granduation. I can't believe I can say now that I have a first grader! We got Blake a pair of tap shoes for a graduation gift, he loves them. He keeps tell Ryan and I "thank you so much for the tap shoes." Good job this year Blake we are so proud of all you have accomplished. You are an amazing boy! I love your sweet tender spirit.

Bread, Girlfriend?!

So I made this braided bread the other day for some ladies in my ward. I was so proud f how good it looked I just had to post it. The best thing is that it is a white bread in an hour recipe... mixed, risen, and baked! I am trying to do better about reaching out to those in need, I am trying to loose myself in service so I can forget all my worries and problems. I know that is talked about so much in the church so I am really trying hard to do that. There are sooo many women in this ward that could use a little extra love. I was feeling the same way and just decided it is more important to try to help the other ladies first then I am sure I will feel it back and hopefully be blessed.
Also there is a picture of Blake w/ a little girl named Abbey from his kindergarten class. This has been a really interestin year. About 3 weeks ago I helped in Blakes class and was watching these kids play and about 6-8 kids were all huddled around Blake and Abbey and they were saying aren't you going to "chase and capture" her. But his idea of "capturing" her was a gentle hug. It reminded me of like 5th grade when a group of kids would run up to and ask are you going to hold johnny's hand. It was kind of freaking me out.
Then about a week after that I drove to get Blake from school and I was parked right even w/ the playground and on top was Blake and Abbey w/ about 8 kids circled around them saying "Blake are you going to kiss Abbey" I was shocked and then Blake puckered up and was going in and then I yelled out my window "BLAKE WE DO NOT KISS AT SCHOOL" so they all scattered. Then about 5 minutes later they all returned w/ Blake puckered up again so I yelled again "WE DO NOT KISS KIDS AT SCHOOL" then the teacher called them in. So when he got in the car I had to have a discussion about kissing. I told him that we don't kiss anyone other than family until we are 16. If someone asks you to kiss them or asks you to kiss someone else then you tell them no not until I am 16! He quietly said "OK". Then that night Ryan had the talk w/ him again and talked about respecting women. It is so scary that we are aready dealing w/ this. He is just barely graduating kindergarten. At least we only have to worry about our boys and not hundreds of them by having a girl :)

Stairs; Sleeping; Swimming

I have a handful of cute pics of a handful of random things, so i am just putting them together in one post. :)

Chase has learned how to climb our flight of stairs!!! He can't turn around and get down but he LOVES to go all the way to the top. We have to be there every step of the way or he will just go rolling down the stairs. But it is just so cute to watch him go all the way up and then be so proud of himself. He has also started turning his body completely around and standing up in his high chair so he can see all around...especially if Ryan is feeding him while I am cooking. He always has to have his eye on me.
I went in to get him from his nap the other day (most days i have to wake him up to get blake from school) and i just thought he looked so cute i had to take a pic. I love how sweet and adorable the kids look when they are sleeping. Then...they wake up and it's crazy!

Here are some pics of the boys swimming at grandma and granpa Bangerter's. Their pool is heated so we get to swim in it a little earlier than most other pools. Blake is doing great with his swimming can swim under water and everything. Seth is a little hesitant around the water but he did great when we went over. He even swam in the deep end w/ his kick board w/ out me holding him! That is a HUGE accomplishment for him. Chase even swam a bit until he was ready for a nap and crashed in their chair.
Last but not least, here are some pics of a duck at grandma and grandpa Elmer's who found her herself a perfect little spot to lay 10-12 eggs!!! So went over to check it out, she was just so calm the boys were yelling at her to try to get her to move...she didn't budge. You can barely see her in the bush. We can't wait to see the babies :)

Movies

Ryan and I went to the movies yesterday for a long awaited date. I had gotten some free movie tickets from buying cereal from Raley's, so we decided to use them yesterday. We went to see Iron Man 2 at the new folsom theater The Palladio. It was a really nice theater. We went to the 4:05 showing and got in there....we were the only ones. I have never been in the a theater where we were the only ones. Then about 2 minutes before it was going to start one single guy walked in. So it was us 3. Crazy!! Anyways, it was a really good one to see in the theater. It was just nice to get away from the kids for a little while and watch a movie w/ lots of volume. When we watch at home once the kids are in bed it is always so quiet.

Fon-Do you love me? & Gardening Fun

So this weekend we did Fondu for our dessert for our friday night movie night dessert. It was so good i love the picture of Seth shoving his face full of graham crackers. I guess he thinks it was a race or something, I guess i will have years of it with 3 boys. So it was such a nice night "picture perfect" until about 15 min. after the picture was taken we take the boys to bed....and let the screaming and crying begin. Why is it that when you do something nice for your kids they seem to go crazy when it is bed time. It makes it so hard to do nice things for the kids, ahhhhh! It drives Ryan and I crazy we were just saying these boys are going to kill us sometimes they drive us sooooo crazy.

Anyways, on a happier note here are some pics of our garden we worked on this weekend. We went to bushnells nursery and got a white peach/nectarine tree. They told us that one year we may get nectarines, one year peaches, or both one year, but they will always be white fleshed. So we're happy. So after planting the tree we dug up our potatoes and got a whole bag full so we made potato salad for dinner tonight. That was the first time we have actually made something to go with one of our meals as a true garden side dish. It was pretty good.

I also put in a picture of some flowers i picked from our yard, my long stem red roses and some stargazer lillies. I had to take a picture because they looked so professional.

Blake's school pics

So here are Blake's spring pics from school. I can't believe how big he is getting. He looks like a little man. What is really crazy is that he only has 15 days until kindergarten graduation!!!! Oh my goodness, I can't believe we can call him a first grader soon. Wow, this year went so fast, having blake start kindergarten and then having chase right after. What's amazing is the things he has learned in kindergarten. He has learned to read, additon, subtraction, he can tell time on any kind of clock, and has already passed 3 spelling test. He has had a very busy year learning! I am hoping to have a fun summer!

Mothers Day

Diane Flying

Aunt Katie Flying

Ryan Flying

Chris Flying

Happy Mom's day to all those awesome women out there. We had a fun filled weekend, and pretty relaxing for me (not ryan). On Saturday the Elmer's came over for a dinner, and the kids all had fun playing together. The adults also had some fun on the trampoline while the kiddos watched. Needless to say all 18 of us had a good time.

On Sunday, ryan and the boys made french toast for breakfast and then for dinner I made homemade butternut squash ravioli with a bacon, butternut squash sauce over top. It sounds really wierd but it was soooo good. I even made some plain spaghetti sauce in case the fancy sauce was gross, but it was so good i preffered it way more than the spaghetti sauce. My parents came over for dinner, and we went for a nice walk and then the boys played barber shop on grandpa. That was a big deal since he doesn't let anyone near his hair! It was cute to watch. Oh and when Blake went to go get the brush he knocked the cabinet from the bathroom over, broke the top cover of the toilet and everything in the cabinet went over board. Yay! Luckily he only ended up with a little scratch on his finger.

Well, with all that here are some pics. I had a great mothers day! Thanks Boys!

*Blake took all the pics of me making the ravioli's....not bad only one finger in the pics. I think we have a future photographer on our hands.

Dairy oh how i love you!

So i am so excited, i have been off dairy since a little while after Chase was born. I have tried introducing it here and there and it just didn't work. But finally i tried again the last week and he seems to finally be ok with it. Seth was the same way, but with him i stopped nursing at 6 months. Then when he hit 1 we put him on whole milk and he's been fine ever since. I decided to push forward with Chase since he is our last i figured i could suffer through a little pain of not eating dairy for a few months. And the time has come he is finally ok with me eating dairy...YAY!!!! So my long list of dairy filled foods is finally getting checked off. I started with Nachos one of my faves, and tried ice cream. This weekend i am going to make homemade cheese filled ravioli! My deal with ryan for mothers day is i get to pick any meal i want to make for dinner and he has to clean my kitchen afterwards. So i always pick a new really intense recipe that he has a ton of dishes to do :) I am so excited!

Roseville Tuesday Night

Last night Ryan and I went to the First Roseville Tuesday Night Market. We set up our Brite Delights booth and did our best to sell, sell, sell. We added some new warmers, bath balls and kids candle sand art. The sand art did the best because it was very eye catching and the kids would just pester their parents until they could do it. They were able to make their own candle, it was a fun addition. We are going to be doing the next 5 roseville markets and then folsom has thursday night markets that start in 4 weeks and we will do all 7 of the folsom ones. It is a very long evening we left our house at 3:15 and got home at 9:45. We are trying to tell ourselves it is good to get our name out there.....it's exhausting! We would much rather people just order our stuff off our website. But they need to know who we are first.
Anyways, here's a pic of our booth, and our popular sand candle.

Weekend Fun!

Well we had a fun weekend. The weather was perfect high 70's low 80's...just beautiful! I took Chase and Max (the neighbor boy, 10 days younger than chase) on a wagon walk for the first time. They both did great just relaxed while Blake and Seth ran around crazy and me and Nikki (my neighbor) got in some much needed chatting :).
Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Bangerter's and the older boys swam with grandpa! Well between their pool and spa (when they got too cold). The boys helped make dessert with grandma and as always grandpa had to set up the train tracks and race car track.
Today as we were getting ready for church we put the boys in the shower and were trying to rush them so they didn't get to play like they normally do. You could tell it was bugging Blake and he told ryan and he was trying to wash him "DAD, just turn around and walk away!" I had to hold in my laughs so hard. It is so funny to hear them talk like big kids but they really aren't that big so it is scary too. Blake really is starting to try and talk and act more like a big kid. He is starting to out smart us too. Like if he loses something earlier in the day like dessert, and then we end up giving it to him by the evening he'll say things like "see i told you i would get dessert" and with a big attitude too. It's scary how quick they grow up.
Then this evening after he was supposed to be asleep for about 30 min. i went to put chase to bed and blake was scratching marks on our banister. It is totally ruined. It is one whole section by his bedroom...we are like JUST GO TO SLEEP! It drives us nuts...why don't they just stay in bed when we put them there.
Anyways, even after all that we had a good weekend.
